Eligibility

A citizen of India who has passed B.A./B.Sc. degree examination of any University in India or abroad recognised as equivalent through 10+2+3 pattern of education obtaining 50% of marks in aggregate of all the subjects he/she has studied for 3 years is eligible for admission to B. Ed. Course provided:

a) He/she has studied at least any ONE of the following languages:

(i) TAMIL (ii) English (iii) Hindi (iv) Urdu (v) Marathi (vi) Sanskrit

b) Any TWO of the following Electives:

(i) History (ii) Political Science (iii) Sociology (iv) Geography    (v) Economics (vi) Philosophy (vii) Psychology (viii) Physics (ix) Chemistry (x) Botany (xi) Zoology (xii) Geology (xiii) Mathematics (xiv) English (xv) Kannada (xvi) Hindi (xvii) Urdu (xviii) Marathi   (xix) Sanskrit (xx) Micro Biology (xxi) Biotechnology  (xxii) Computer Science (xxiii) Electronics (xxiv) Statistics

Minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility in the case of SC/ST, Category-l and Physically Handicapped students shall be 45% in the aggregate of 3 years of their degree course.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION

The completed forms should be sent to The Principal, Kanchi college of Teacher Education , Karapettai, Kancheepuram by Registered Post or in person.

ENCLOSURES

Attested copies of the following certificates should be enclosed along with the filled in application:

1. UG, PG Mark sheets
2. Community Certificate
3. Transfer Certificate
4. NCC, NSS, Sports Certificated, if any
5. B.A./B.Sc./M.A./M.Sc./M.Phil./Provisional or Degree, if any
6. B.Ed.Entrance Exam Mark sheet
7. Visually / Physically handicapped / wards of ex-serviceman certificate
8. Eligibility Certificate for candidate who have qualified from other than University of Madras .
9. Two Passport Size Photographs.

ADMISSION GUIDELINES

The candidates selected for provisional admission will be intimated by a letter sent by Certificate of Posting to the address given in the application by the candidates. The candidates will be directed to report for admission by giving a time gap of 7 days from the date of despatch of the intimation. In case of any subsequent change in address or postal delay, the institution cannot be held responsible for any delay on that account.

The candidates called for provisional admission will have to report at the specified time and date with all ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES and be ready to pay the college fees as directed.

No Original Certificates should be sent along with application form.

The decision of the Admission Committee is final. Those who discontinue the B.Ed. Course after admission will not be admitted again.

Students leaving the hostel in the middle of the year, forfeit their Hostel deposit and will be required to pay establishment fee and overhead charges for the full year.
